Community Guidelines
How we treat each other in every Centre of VaseBit space — current and future.
Purpose and scope
These guidelines apply to all Centre of VaseBit community spaces — discussions, groups, events, publications channels, and the student email service — as they become available. They exist so that an international community can work together productively and safely.
Principles
We ask every member to uphold five principles:
- Respect — disagree with ideas, not people.
- Academic integrity — credit your sources and present your own work honestly.
- Inclusivity — members come from many countries, languages, and education systems.
- Privacy — do not share others’ personal information without consent.
- Safety — community spaces must be free of harassment and harm.
Prohibited behavior
The following are not acceptable anywhere in the community:
- harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind;
- threats or incitement of harm;
- publishing others’ private information (“doxxing”);
- spam, phishing, or mass unsolicited messaging;
- plagiarism or misrepresenting authorship;
- impersonating another person or organization;
- content that is unlawful in the jurisdictions involved.
Academic integrity
When sharing research, notes, or resources, cite your sources and make clear what is your own contribution. Presenting someone else’s work as your own is a serious violation of these guidelines.
Reporting
If you experience or witness a violation, report it through the contact form with as much context as possible. Reports are reviewed by the coordination team and handled with discretion toward everyone involved.
Enforcement
Depending on severity, consequences may include a warning, removal of content, temporary suspension, or exclusion from the community. Serious misuse of an @mail.cov.edu.rs address may lead to its revocation.
Changes
As the community grows, these guidelines will be refined. Members will be informed of significant changes.
